Unmetered Connection

An unmetered connection is one where the charges for electricity consumption are not measured via a meter.

This type of connection is available on a very limited basis and only for small electricity loads where the usage is predictable.

To connect an unmetered load, select an option from the lists below.

Unmetered public lighting of less than 2 Kilovolt-Amperes (kVA)

• For connections by a Local Authority
• For connections by builders or developers

Unmetered electric loads (not public lighting) of less than 2 Kilovolt-Amperes (kVA)

• For customers with connection points, e.g. traffic lights, bus shelters
• For customers with a single connection point, e.g. electric fences
