The information below will help you locate your site for us when applying online for a New Domestic Connection.
All of Ireland is map referenced and it is possible to get an accurate map reference for any location. To find your site location coordinates proceed as follows:
Open the interactive map on the OSI website
On the Map displayed left click on your approximate location. Continue to zoom in by left clicking on your approximate location until you have your site displayed at maximum zoom. If the red cross hairs are not on the exact location of the dwelling, click on the Pan function in the menu display box .Left click, hold and drag dwelling to the red cross hairs releasing once dwelling is directly underneath. Highlight the displayed URL, right click and copy. Paste the copied URL into the OSI Map Reference Field in Option 1. The quotation issued will be based on the URL provided and ESB Networks accept no responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate data provided by the applicant.
A site plan (scale 1:100-1:500) with the building to be supplied clearly marked as such and the site itself.
An Ordnance Survey map (scale 1:2500 for Rural or 1:1000 for Urban) with the location of your site clearly marked and including ITM centre point co-ordinates for the proposed building to be supplied. Please specify this at your local map store.
ITM (x and y) refer to the geographical location of your house and your Builder/Architect/Consultant can provide these. These should be verified by using the interactive map on the OSI website.
Once the screen is opened, under the menu display click on search, and on the search menu click on the coordinate tab and enter your coordinates. Click on Zoom to and verify that cross hairs are on the exact location of centre of building where electricity connection is required. Should they not correspond please refer to OSI Web Map Reference above.
