To read your meter, simply note the numbers shown in the display from left to right.
Make sure to write down any zeros, including any at the start of the reading. If the meter does not have an electronic display, ignore any figures in red.
The most common is the mechanical or spinning disk meter.
Electronic meters are now installed in some domestic premises.
Single tariff: This records all electricity usage on one dial/register over 24 hours.
Day/Night tariff: This meter has two dials (if mechanical) or one scrollable display (if electronic).
