Submit Meter Reading

An ESB Networks Meter Reader will call to your premises up to four times a year in order to read your meter.

If you are not at home when the Meter Reader calls, he/she will leave a card that invites you to submit the meter reading yourself. You may wish to do this in order to avoid receiving an estimated bill from your Supplier.

Submit a Meter Reading via Phone

To submit a meter reading via phone, CallSave 1850 337 777. You will need a touch-tone telephone to key in the required information.

Follow the automatic voice prompts to:

  1. Submit your Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN). This is a unique reference number that identifies your connection point on the electricity network. (Your MPRN is displayed on your bill.)
  2. Submit your meter reading.
