Safety at Work

Introduction

The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 places a responsibility on employers to provide a safe place of work for their employees and to ensure the safety of visitors to their premises.

While ESB is not responsible for electrical safety on the customer's side of the ESB meter it works closely with bodies such as the Health and Safety Authority, the Electro Technical Council of Ireland and contractors organisations to promote safety and safe practices.
