The Vegetable Kingdom

Leaves and Seeds of Trees
Leaves and Seeds of Trees

The Rudiment Box instructions define the Vegetable Kingdom as containing "everything that has growth and life, without being able to move of itself". The Lectures go on to say that "they are called trees when they rise to a great height, with one woody stem, and smaller branches growing out of the sides.: there are great varieties of them- the oak, elm, beech, sycamore, chestnut, walnut, poplar, birch, osier, Scotch- fir, larch, cedar, and many others all grow in these countries and are very useful for various purposes. You may take turn to ask questions on any one that you please".
