The Schools Business Partnership Programme
We take part in the Schools Business Partnership programme, organised by Business in the Community (BITC), in an effort to address educational disadvantage in Ireland.
How does it work?
The programme matches identified schools with specific businesses, to bring the strengths, talents and skills of the business world into the lives of young people throughout Ireland.
There are over 150 schools already matched with Irish businesses, including ESB.
Our schools
Three schools are currently matched with three of our divisions & locations:
- Pobalscoil Rosmini Dublin (partnered with ESB Corporate Centre)
- Tarbert Comprehensive School (partnered with Tarbert Power Station)
- St. John's De La Salle Clondalkin (partnered with Fleet and Equipment in Tallaght)
We aim to have a total of five links before the end of 2009.
The Fleet and Equipment link is unique in that it is run by the local Partnership Group, which has sole responsibility for managing the relationship with the school.
As representatives of Irish business, we are proud to have an impact on educational inclusion in Ireland.
