About Cúl Green
Cúl Green is our initiative, in partnership with the GAA, to make Croke Park a carbon-neutral stadium.
Together, we aim to dramatically reduce the carbon footprint of Ireland's most popular sporting venue over the next six years.
What we're doing
We're putting in place a state-of-the-art environmental improvement programme covering the stadium's electricity, waste and water management systems.
How can you help?
You can make a carbon saving pledge through the Cúl Green website. Common pledges include:
- switching off lights when you leave a room
- taking public transport instead of the car
- not overfilling your kettle
Every time you complete a pledge, we will enter you into a draw for tickets to matches and concerts at Croke Park.
So far, we have had an overwhelming response with over 42,000 pledges made and over 4,400 tonnes of carbon saved in the first 10 months of the scheme.
ESB and the environment
Cúl Green is just one part of our long term commitment to the environment. We hope the project will increase sustainability and climate change awareness for GAA fans and more.
