Future Power

About Future Power

ESB runs this annual one-day event, together with Engineers Ireland's STEPS to Engineering programme. It encourages the children of ESB International staff to explore the world of science and engineering and consider engineering as a possible career choice.

What happens

Future Power is an action-packed day, with fun presentations and games designed to educate children about the world of engineering, design and technology.

The kids, ranging in ages from 12-16 years, learn about electricity and renewable energy.

They also take part in practical engineering demonstrations and build models using K'NEX educational toys and games, with prizes awarded for the best K'NEX model.
