Women in Engineering
Each November, we run a week-long education programme to give groups of female students an opportunity to see what life is like for women working as engineers, particularly in ESB.
The programme was introduced by ESB International's Training and Development Team in 2007.
Objective
The programme aims to encourage female students to consider engineering as an option for their future careers.
Over time, the programme has proven to play a vital role in helping female students decide to study engineering at third level.
Who can apply?
There are ten places available on the programme. It is open to female transition year students from schools throughout Dublin. Each student must have an interest in maths and/or science and perhaps already be considering engineering as a future career.
