ESB Flood Update at 5:00pm on Thursday 3rd December

3rd December 2009:

River Shannon:

The situation on the River Shannon remains unchanged since this morning and the discharge rates throughout the day were maintained.

River Liffey:

ESB continued to discharge water from Poulaphouca Reservoir today as levels remain high.

As in the case of River Shannon, continued vigilance is important and ESB maintains close co-operation with the Local Authorities and the Emergency Services.

A further update will be issued in the morning (Friday, December 4th).
