New appointments at ESB

The Board of ESB confirmed the appointment of Donal Flynn as its new Group Finance Director. The Board also appointed Paul Stapleton as its Group Treasurer. The announcement was made following the Board Meeting of Wednesday, May 26th.

Mr Flynn is currently Chief Financial Officer of SSE Renewables (previously Airtricity) and will take up his position with ESB in August. Mr Stapleton is the current Financial Controller of ESB Networks.

Today’s appointments result from the move by Bernard Byrne to the post of Chief Financial Officer with AIB while Paul Stapleton fills the vacancy created by the move of Brendan Murphy to become Finance Director of the National Treasury Management Agency.
