Beside the Hydro Power Station in Ballyshannon, Co Donegal.

Rules & regulations
- Angling is not permitted within 250 metres (as indicated by notice boards on the bank of the reservoir) of the upstream face of Cathaleens Fall Dam or the downstream face of Cliff dam (except for the Cliff Salmon Fishery located on the northern bank 50 metres downstream of Cliff generating station).
- ESB fishing permit allows the holder to fish from Board land.
- It does not entitle him to trespass on other lands without permission from the owner.
- Fishing from the south bank of lake is not permitted and trespass on embankments including pumping stations is strictly prohibited.
- Fishing is not allowed from one hour after sunset to one hour before sunrise.
- This permit does not authorise the holder to fish out of season or to breach in any Bye-Laws regulating angling on the River Erne.
- Anglers are requested to use gates where possible, and to avoid damaging fencing, walls etc..
- Annual returns should be submitted to ESB.
Recreational boating
A permit is required for:
- Canoeing
- Rowboats
- Sailboats
- Boats with an outboard motor engine not exceeding 6 hp
