Lee Reservoir - Inniscarra Salmon Fishery

Location
- Located on the River Lee, beside the Hydro Power Station
- Approximately 12 km from Cork city
- 6km from the village of Blarney
Layout & access
Consists of 6 beats on the north bank and 2 beats on the south, each about 250 metres long.
Access is easy and car parking is available. There is an amenity area, which attracts a lot of visitors during the summer months.

Rods & anging tackle can be hired at local tackle shops.
Local amenities
There is a variety of accommodation, restaurants and pubs in the surrounding areas.

Inniscarra Reservoir/Upper Carrigadrohid Lake
Inniscarra Reservoir offers year-round, mainly coarse fishing - excellent fishing in a picturesque setting.
Common fish types:
- Bream
- Rudd
- Bream/Rudd hybrids
Daily catches of 50 kg are common.
Good coarse fishing spots:
- Innisleena (1 mile west of dam)
- Dripsey Arm (west of Griffins Garden Centre)
- Rooversbridge
- Caumruad (beside Carrogadrohid village)
- Carrigadrohid castle section
Though coarse fishing is still in its infancy, Carrigadrohid Lake offers excellent Pike fishing at Macloneigh Bridge and the area known locally as the Gearagh on the main Macroom-Cork Road.
Pike weighing over 10 kg have been caught.
ESB and the South Western Regional Fisheries Board have developed facilities on both lakes.
Rules & regulations
As per Fisheries Pike Bye-Law 1990.
- Restricted fishing areas: 150 metres from dams; within station grounds or its environs.
- ESB or South Western Regional Fisheries Board shall not be liable for any injury loss or damage to any person or property whatsoever or howsoever arising either directly or indirectly from the issue of this permit.
- All methods of legalised baits may be used.
- Anglers must respect the rights and property of landowners whose land they may have to cross or whose lands they may occupy when fishing.
- The unauthorised lighting of fires, the breaking of hedges, or any other damage caused by a permit holder while fishing the Board's waters will be treated as an offence against the Board's conditions.
- All fish caught must be returned to the lake.
- Anyone found breaking the Boards regulations or conditions may have his permit withdrawn for the remainder of the current season and may also have a permit withdrawn for a subsequent season should the breach occur at the end of the current season.
- In the interest of safety, only bank fishing is allowed.
- Angling Returns to be submitted to ESB
Recreational boating on Inniscara
A permit is required for boating and canoeing on Inniscarra Reservoir.
It covers:
- Canoeing
- Rowboats
- Sailboats
- Boats with outboard motors not exceeding 6 hp
