Over the last two years, we have recruited more than 140 of the best and brightest of Ireland's graduates to join our business as future leaders and technical experts. In 2019, we continue to supplement our experienced and highly capable workforce with another 70+ of Ireland's brightest minds.

Engineering Graduate Development Programme 

ESB has a number of exciting opportunities starting in 2020 for graduates from a number of engineering disciplines including Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering. As one of the largest employers of engineers in Ireland, ESB is dedicated to investing in engineering expertise and developing critical skills to support Ireland’s future growth and development. As an Engineering Graduate in ESB, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects, both in Ireland and overseas, while pursuing your professional accreditation.

IT Graduate Development Programme 

ESB has one of the largest IT spends in the country, we are Ireland’s largest SAP user organisation and we deliver a large number of multi-million euro projects each year. The ESB IT Graduate Programme is typically structured into three rotations where you will build your IT and business knowledge through challenging assignments, exposure to our business units, diverse range of business activities, and the opportunity to work on one of our major projects. If you are looking to develop your IT career in any of the Functional, Technical or Project Management career paths, then ESB's IT Graduate Development Programme is the perfect fit for you.

Commercial Graduate Development Programme

As a Commercial Graduate, you will focus on developing your ability to problem solve, think critically, understand the balance between value and risk and to build your decision making capability. You will also be given the chance to develop your stakeholder management capability and the opportunity to work at a strategic level, supporting key business initiatives and innovative change programmes.

HR Graduate Development Programme 

Our people are the key to our success as an organisation and our HR function plays a fundamental part in ensuring we attract, retain and develop the best talent. ESB’s HR Graduate Development Programme allows you to build your HR expertise by working in a number of different specialist areas across our dynamic HR function including Reward, Performance Management, Recruitment and Resource Assurance.

Marketing Graduate Development Programme 

As a Marketing Graduate you will be part of the Marketing Team in ESB's Customer Solutions business. The team is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing plans to support the achievement of brand and business goals across both the Electric Ireland and ESB brands. The team provides a full suite of award winning marketing initiatives including the development and implementation of marketing plans, PR, Sponsorship, Event Management, Digital Marketing and Stakeholder engagement.

Finance Graduate Development Programme

As a Finance Graduate you will be part of our Finance Operations team and will be supported in doing your ACA qualification. Our Finance Programme offers structured rotations to ensure you gain experience across a number of areas including core accounting foundation principles, statutory accounting, intercompany accounting and cost analysis. You will also develop externally focused financial processes such as billing, client reporting, management reporting and forecasting.
