Matthew McCleanThe ESB Graduate Programme has
really helped my transition from college to work life. It’s given me the
opportunity to gain valuable engineering experience on various projects
in Ireland and the UK. The work has been challenging but through the support
network provided by mentors and colleagues it has allowed me to develop. The
friendly atmosphere within ESB is evident from the first day, and with social graduate
events and company-wide events such,
it was easy to meet people from all parts of the company.
Maeve CollSince joining the ESB
Graduate Programme I have gained invaluable work experience in
different areas of the organisation such as working on large scale recruitment
campaigns. Graduates receive lots of support including training and assigned mentors. The programme
also has a great social aspect. I have taken part in sports events such as tag
rugby, the GAA 7’s tournament and the ESB Power Challenge and CSR initiatives
including the Time to Read and Time to Count programmes.
George Dosumu I’m currently on my second
rotation on the ESB IT Graduate Development Programme. My first rotation was on
the Cloud Platform team and I’m now working on the CyberSecurity team. What’s surprised me the most
since I joined ESB is the range of opportunities available. You get to work
alongside experts on key business activities which provides a high level of
exposure for career development. I also really enjoy the
multi-cultural and friendly working environment.
Ian ComerfordIt was one of the best experiences of my life. Graduates are rotated within the various business units and I was selected to work on a project in Bahrain. No two days in ESB are the same and projects are countrywide, which is great as you get to visit different parts of Ireland, and in my case the world, which you otherwise wouldn’t get to see.
Claudia SheridanESB’s graduate programme offers excellent prospects of challenge and development, both internationally and nationally. Through ESB, I availed of an exceptional amount of professional training. On completion of the graduate programme this year, the company offered to sponsor the completion of my Masters of Electrical Engineering.
Colin WalsheI enjoyed the range of projects I was exposed to and the responsibility that was placed on me as a graduate. Everything from the brand new 220 kV GIS substation being installed in Kilpaddoge, Co Kerry to being involved in the ESB Gaa 7s made the programme thoroughly enjoyable for me.
