Coriolis Energy and ESB are working together to develop a renewable energy project located on farmland south-east of Formby, north-east of Ince Blundell, west of Lydiate and south of Great Altcar, Lower Alt.
Upon completion of the project, the wind farm's 12 turbines will have a combined generating capacity of between 30 and 42 MW. It will generate enough renewable electricity to power up to 27,000 households a year.
In addition to the turbines themselves, a wind monitoring mast, an onsite substation, underground cables and access tracks will be required.
