#90sPowerParty Line-Up Includes Mark McCabe & The Vengaboys
Electric Picnic revellers are set for a ‘festival flash back’ with a helping of 90s nostalgia, as today, August 10th 2015, Electric Ireland, official energy partner to the festival, unveil nineties legends Mark McCabe and the Vengaboys for the Electric Ireland #90sPowerParty at the sell-out festival.
On Saturday September 5th, Mark McCabe will perform a live set of Ireland’s fourth biggest-selling single of all time, ‘Maniac 2000’. Mark will bring this late 90s defining anthem back to life on the fifteenth anniversary of his chart takeover, when Maniac 2000 held the No.1 spot for 10 weeks.
Ahead of his performance, McCabe looks forward to bringing a taste of 90s back to the festival audience, “I am delighted to be part of Electric Ireland’s 90s Power Party at Electric Picnic this year. I haven’t played Maniac live for a very long time, so I am really excited about it. Hopefully the crowd will come along to play their part in the audience participation moments of the song. The 90s Power Party will be a fantastic addition to the Picnic, offering festival goers a full immersion in what will be the ultimate 90s experience.”
On Sunday night, 90s anthem Eurodance group from Holland, The Vengaboys, will power the #90sPowerParty at Electric Picnic with a set that includes ‘Boom Boom Boom Boom’, ‘We Like To Party’, and ‘We’re going to Ibiza’.
With the festival fully sold out, Electric Ireland will be announcing details of their much anticipated ticket giveaway on Monday August 17th as well as even more additions to the #90sPowerParty line-up.
As official energy partner to Electric Picnic, Electric Ireland installs 6 kilometres of energy efficient festoon lighting around the campsites and walk ways to guide festival go-ers around the festival and will also provide mobile phone charging on site.
