The Board of ESB today (Wednesday, May 25th) confirmed the appointment of Pat Fenlon as its new Group Finance Director, Designate.
Currently Group Treasurer, Mr. Fenlon has held a number of senior financial and general management positions across ESB including General Manager of Electric Ireland, Corporate Change Manager and Group Finance & Commercial Manager. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and previously worked with Price Waterhouse Coopers in Dublin.
Today’s appointment results from the move by Donal Flynn to the post of Chief Financial Officer with Glen Dimplex. Donal will continue in his present role to facilitate an orderly transition to Pat as his successor.
Commenting on this appointment, Pat O’Doherty, ESB Chief Executive said: “I would like to congratulate Pat on his appointment as our new Group Finance Director. He takes on this role at a challenging time for the energy industry and brings with him enormous business experience. I am very confident Pat will do an outstanding job for our organisation.”
