Whistleblowing and Protected Disclosures
To support our commitment to high standards of conduct and in fostering a culture of openness, transparency and fairness, in which it is safe and acceptable to raise concerns, we encourage and expect employees and others to report concerns relating to a wrongdoing in the workplace and elsewhere relating to our operations.
The Protected Disclosures Act 2014 aims to provide a comprehensive suite of employment and immunity protections to whistleblowers regarding possible wrongdoing in their workplace . The mechanisms whereby ESB employees and management may raise concerns, or make disclosures in the public interest, in accordance with the Protected Disclosures Act 2014, is outlined in our Whistleblowing and Protected Disclosures Policy.
We have in place internal reporting channels and procedures for the making of protected disclosures as required by the Protected Disclosures Act 2014 (as amended). The information provided by ESB under that Act to the Minister for Public Expenditure, NPD Delivery and Reform for the last calendar year is available to download below.
