ESB Networks reschedules planned maintenance works in Carlow/Bagnalstown areas

ESB Networks reschedules planned maintenance works in Carlow/Bagnalstown areas to Saturday 26th August and not Sunday 27th August

Approximately 3,425 ESB Networks customers in Carlow/Bagnalstown areas have been notified of essential maintenance to take place on Sunday 27th August, resulting in loss of electricity supply from around 2am until 5am. This will now NOT go ahead.  Instead ESB Networks have now rescheduled this outage to Saturday 26th August from 2am until 5am.

The areas affected will be Bagnalstown, Fenagh, Garyhill, Myshall, Drumfea, Corries, Ballinkillen, Royal Oak, Kilree, Kilcarrig, Newtown and Mile Bush. ESB Networks appreciates the concern among residents and business owners in the areas impacted by this planned outage. We acknowledge the obvious inconvenience this causes to customers and thank them for their cooperation. These essential planned outages are to facilitate the strengthening of the electricity network in the area, bringing greater reliability and resilience of supply to each customer. ESB Networks takes all steps necessary to minimise such disruption but unfortunately such planned outages are required for important work across our electricity network.

This outage will commence at 2am Saturday morning and is expected to conclude at 5am. ESB Networks apologises to customers in the area for the inconvenience caused by the unplanned outage on Saturday morning and for any confusion on the change of dates.

ESB Networks worked quickly to change the date to facilitate the customers who may be staying up to watch the McGregor fight.
