Electric Ireland brings “The Championship Haircut” to Pairc Ui Chaoimh for Minor Football Championship

19th June 2019: Electric Ireland is excited to announce that the “The Championship Haircut” will return for the second year in a row, this year making its provincial debut on Saturday, 22 June, for the Electric Ireland Munster Minor Football Final where Cork and Kerry Minors will contend for a spot in the All-Ireland.

Electric Ireland recognise that the “The Championship Haircut” is a part of many GAA player’s pre-game ritual ahead of a major game, offering a moment for reflection and preparation. In celebration of this ritual, Electric Ireland has collaborated with a team of expert barbers to offer haircuts or styles to fans in Pairc Ui Chaoimh before the Munster Minor Football Final.

Back your Minor team this weekend by joining in the pre-game ritual in Pairc Ui Chaoimh, off Monahan Road, entrance at corner of South Stand and City Terrace, with hair cutting and styling services available between 15:00 – 17:00.  Guys can choose from a selection of styles from ‘The Minor Fade’ to ‘The Crossbar Shave’ with the option for girls to represent their county with pride, sporting their colours with an updo or braid, styled with a ribbon in their county colours.

Electric Ireland recently launched the 2019 Minor Championships, unveiling the 2019 Electric Ireland GAA Minor Star Awards panel which includes former Waterford Hurling Manager, Derek McGrath, alongside Donegal’s most decorated Footballer, Karl Lacey, former Galway dual-star, Alan Kerins and former Dublin footballer, Tomás Quinn. The 2019 Panel will also celebrate “The Championship Haircut”, partaking in a four-part video series that will see them take to the barber chair to discuss the long-term benefit, lessons and skills, that came from representing their County at Minor level.
